Viola Orchestra – A Space for Community and Collaboration

The Viola Orchestra will be one of the central community activities of the 51st International Viola Congress in Tenerife. Conceived as an open, inclusive, and innovative space, it invites violists of all ages, backgrounds, and levels to come together in a shared musical experience.

More than an ensemble, the Viola Orchestra is a place for connection, creativity, and collective expression. Participants will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform together, exploring a diverse repertoire while celebrating the unique voice of the viola in a collaborative setting.

Led by distinguished violists and featuring a carefully curated repertoire, the orchestra will rehearse daily throughout the Congress and culminate in a closing concert. This will provide participants with a performance opportunity as well as a certificate of participation.

This initiative reflects the spirit of the Congress: building community, encouraging participation, and creating meaningful artistic experiences that bring people together through music.
