Submission Guidelines & Form
Call of Proposals - 51. International Viola Congress Tenerife 2027
The Call for Proposals will be open from August 1 through November 1, 2026.
Applications may only be submitted through the official Congress website by completing the online application form. Proposals submitted by email or through any other means will not be considered.
Applicants must submit one proposal by selecting one Primary Format Category and one Content Subcategory in the submission form, even if their proposal combines elements from multiple categories. If more than one category or subcategory applies, please select the option that best represents the primary focus of your proposal.
Proposals involving multiple participants are especially encouraged.
All applicants must also provide a publicly accessible YouTube video supporting their proposal. Please refer to the video requirements below.
Invitation Certificate for Accepted Applicants
All accepted applicants will receive an official Invitation Certificate issued by the Congress organizers. This document may be used to support applications for scholarships, grants, institutional funding, or other forms of financial assistance to help cover travel, accommodation, registration, and other participation-related expenses. While the Congress is unable to provide financial support, the Invitation Certificate serves as official confirmation of the applicant's acceptance and participation in the Congress.

Professor and Studio Recital (must include at least three students)
Applicants may submit one or more proposals in any of the Primary Format Categories (Lecture, Recital, Lecture-Recital, or Professor and Studio Recital). In addition, applicants may submit a separate application to participate in the Congress Viola Orchestra. Applications for the Viola Orchestra will be reviewed independently from proposal submissions.

All applicants must include a publicly accessible YouTube link in the submission form.
Video Requirements by Category
Lecture
Up to 5 minutes presenting and summarizing the proposed lecture (spoken presentation).
Recital
Up to 10 minutes of uninterrupted performance (without cuts or editing), featuring repertoire from the proposed program. If this is not possible because the proposed work is a world premiere and/or no recording is yet available, applicants may submit a performance of comparable repertoire instead. The audio must clearly represent the applicant's own playing.
Lecture-Recital
Up to 10 minutes combining a spoken presentation with live performance excerpts.
Professor and Studio Recital
Up to 10 minutes featuring the professor and at least three students in performance. The submitted video should reflect the artistic and pedagogical approach of the proposed program.
All videos must be clearly recorded and publicly accessible on YouTube at the time of submission.
