Tenerife
For the first time in its history, the International Viola Congress will be held in Spain, on the beautiful island of Tenerife. Known for its stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and rich musical tradition, Tenerife offers a unique and inspiring setting for the 2027 edition of the Congress.
The Congress will take advantage of Tenerife’s world-class musical infrastructure, including the iconic Auditorio de Tenerife “Adán Martín”, a landmark of contemporary architecture and one of Spain’s premier concert venues. Participants will also benefit from the island’s vibrant educational scene, with activities hosted at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias, a hub for musical excellence and training.
From volcanic peaks and dramatic coastlines to historic towns and lively arts festivals, Tenerife provides an extraordinary backdrop for an international gathering of violists. Hosting the Congress here marks a milestone in its history, bringing the global viola community to Spain for the very first time.
Tenerife 2027 promises not only exceptional concerts, masterclasses, and workshops, but also the chance to immerse yourself in the island’s cultural life, connect with its artistic community, and experience its warm and welcoming spirit.
